Edge Energy Controller
A compact controller installed at each site that talks to your inverters, batteries and meters, applies control locally, and connects securely to the management platform.
Where the digital and the electrical meet.
A compact controller is installed in the site's switchboard. It reads each device, applies control locally and connects securely to the management platform and, in utility programmes, the Utility Integration Server.
Control stays at the site.
Remote sites lose connectivity; city sites have outages too. Because schedules, limits and strategies run on the controller itself, the site keeps operating within its limits without waiting for the cloud.
If a utility programme requires it, the controller applies safe default limits agreed with the utility until communication returns, then resumes normal operation and uploads the data it stored.
What the edge controller does.
Local monitoring
Collects measurements from every connected device at the site.
Local control
Applies schedules, limits and strategies directly at the site.
Secure connectivity
Encrypted communication and a unique digital certificate for the site.
Multi-vendor sites
One controller for equipment from different manufacturers.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work over cellular or satellite links?
Yes. It is designed for low-bandwidth connections, and local control does not depend on the link.
Can the controller be made redundant?
Yes. An optional dual-controller configuration provides failover, so control and data continue even if one controller fails.
Who installs it?
Qualified electricians, in line with local regulations, as part of commissioning.
Is every device supported?
No. Each site's equipment is checked against supported integrations before installation.
